The Skanzen offers a full day of exploration and numerous activities. You can visit the newly built and beautiful Transylvania section and get a glimpse into the everyday life of traditional village communities. It’s definitely worth seeing.
The area is ideal for hiking, as the well-maintained hiking trails, viewpoints, and peaks of Pilis and Börzsöny captivate every nature lover. Among these are Dobogókő, often referred to as the ‘Heart of the Earth’, the Rám Gorge, and the spectacular Vörös-kő and Vadálló kövek.
Beaches and free beaches in the Danube Bend – in Leányfalu, Visegrád, Esztergom, Szentendre, Dunabogdány, or even at Lupa, you’ll find water activities for the whole family.
In Visegrád, next to the Nagyvillám Lookout Tower, 2 bobsled tracks wind down the hillside, and children absolutely love them.
Recommended for adventure seekers. Located at the foot of Visegrád Castle, this rope course offers an exciting program for those who love extreme experiences.
The starting point is behind the Nagyvillám Vadászcsárda, and during the first few glides between the poles, a panoramic view unfolds before us: the ruins of Visegrád Citadel, the Danube Bend, and the landscape of the Börzsöny and Pilis Mountains. Participants navigate the downward path through 11 poles in smaller groups. The freedom-inspiring nature of the Canopy, combined with the shared adventure experience, also makes it an effective team-building program. www.canopy.hu
